We design and formulate award-winning CBD-based products exclusively for this marketplace. We pioneered nationally accredited continuing education programs on CBD for veterinary medicine. We have trained over 35,000 veterinary professionals globally. We also educate pet parents alike. We work with veterinarians and pet owners and provide evidence-based products to manage a variety of chronic diseases. Our products are formulated to be palatable, safe, clinically effective, easy to administer and cost effective.

Brad Malin
Brad, a serial entrepreneur of 26 years, is the co-founder & CEO of CompanionCBD, LLC, an award winning, veterinarian owned CBD manufacturer and education company of hemp-based products for the animal health industry. Brad had such a profound experience with CBD personally, he chose to create CompanionCBD and partner with Dr. Josh Sosnow, DVM, to develop safe, effective, and affordable CBD products for dogs, cats, and other pets.
Companion CBD was launched in October of 2018.
Brad, a veteran medical device distribution owner, has been involved in many new product launches domestically and internationally. He has held positions in medical device and biotech to include: executive management, sales/marketing, business development and consulting.
Brad was recently nominated to The Phoenix Titan 100 program in 2022, which recognizes The Top 100 CEO’s & C-level executives. They are the area’s most accomplished business leaders in their industry using criteria that includes demonstrating exceptional leadership, vision, and passion.
Joshua Sosnow, DVM
Dr. Josh Sosnow has been a practicing veterinarian for 23 years. He is a graduate of Occidental College and Oregon State College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Sosnow spent 13 months training at the Animal Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Sosnow has been a practice owner for 19 years and currently owns two hospitals in Scottsdale and Phoenix, Arizona. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association (AzVMA), Dr. Sosnow has lectured locally, nationally, and internationally, on the science of cannabinoids in veterinary practice and continues to be an enthusiastic supporter of the use of cannabinoids in veterinary medicine. In 2018,
Dr. Sosnow, along with his partner, formed CompanionCBD, LLC. He now acts as Chief Medical Officer of the company.

Our Mission- Is to create phytocannabinoid-based products for our pets that are formulated based on the published science. We want to educate pet owners and veterinarians alike on the potential benefits of these compounds by being honest about how these compounds can enhance the management of a variety of chronic diseases. Providing accurate, reliable education and guidance to pet owners and the veterinary community is a hallmark of our mission.
Companion CBD was founded by a veterinarian who has practical experience using the phytocannabinoids in a clinical and research setting, with the goal of making the potential of the phytocannabinoids available to pet owners in a palatable, easily administered form. It is our goal to continue to innovate and develop products that take advantage of the latest scientific research developments concerning these compounds to provide the pet-owning public with the most effective plant-based therapies.
Our Story
Companion CBD was created from a simple question: How can we develop CBD-based products that are true to the science and that are loved by pets and their owners alike?
In 2018 when the “Farm Bill” was passed, the availability and interest in CBD skyrocketed. The potential therapeutic value of CBD and many of the other cannabinoid compounds could now be harnessed and the research dedicated to exploring these compounds accelerated.
We recognized early on that developing products that stayed true to the published science and that evolved with new research would provide the veterinary community and pet owners options to manage a variety of conditions.
CBD like any “new” therapy was identified and marketed as a “cure-all”, but the products, dosing recommendations, and frequent contaminants made finding reliable products challenging. We formed Companion CBD to change that paradigm; we wanted to focus on providing products and guidance that actually worked to improve pets lives, and the relationships they have with their owners. We weren’t interested in just “selling products”, we needed to make a difference that mattered to people.
