This product is something "pet parents" and new adoption families can get excited about. We believe in it wholeheartedly and our own pets love it.
CBD is one of a group of compounds (phytocannabinoids) found in plants in the cannabis family. It's the hemp plant, however, and not the marijuana plant, from which CBD is isolated and manufactured in the United States. The Hemp Farming Act of 2018 legalized industrial hemp for commercial use.

Rescues and shelters who fundraise with us receive 20% of each sale made using their affiliate code. CompanionCBD sells CBD soft chews at four separate doses: 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg, and 40 mg. Each canister contains 60 chews, typically a month's supply.
Sales commissions are tallied and sent to you as one consolidated donation at the end of each month, along with a record of every sale made through your online store.

Yes! Our team of consultants is lead by Dr. Joshua Sosnow, owner and founder of CompanionCBD and one of the leading CBD experts in veterinary medicine. Dr. Sosnow believes in CBD education, and wants pet owners to feel comfortable and empowered in their decisions regarding CBD and their pets. He encourages owners to take advantage of our "Ask a Vet" service, as a dosing schedule based on each pet's individual needs can be vital to its success.
Our product utilizes pure CBD isolate, the only phytocannabinoid with scientific support for a wide range of ailments. Most other CBD companies market "full-spectrum" products which contain additional cannabinoids, terpenes and flavinoids besides CBD. These additional compounds create a supposed "entourage effect" rumored to have greater therapeutic potential than CBD alone. However, this is not proven. As a result, full-spectrum products tend to cost as much or more than ours, yet contain less verified CBD.
As a veterinarian-backed company, we cannot recommend unproven full-spectrum products. We choose instead to provide premium CBD at clinical quantities for the highest possible value to the pet owner and pet.
Most CBD products are, essentially, just a very expensive pet treat. Dosing is critical to efficacy, and most CBD bites/nuggets and even oil tinctures provide negligible or ineffective amounts of cannabidiol. We are not in the treat business.
